With a decade of litigation experience in Australia and New Zealand and a PhD in constitutional and human rights law, I’ve advised the full spectrum of clients (from individuals to government agencies and ASX-listed companies) in major disputes and inquiries. I combine rigorous legal strategy and subject expertise to resolve high‑stakes litigation, manage regulatory and reputational risk, and protect clients under pressure.

  • Commercial Litigation

    I act in the full range of commercial disputes including litigation, arbitration, mediations and urgent applications such as freezing orders and other urgent relief.
    My experience spans first‑instance case strategy through to complex appeals, and includes work on some of the largest class actions brought in New Zealand and Australia.

  • Regulatory Disputes

    I advise on and act in regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, including WorkSafe, ACC, FMCA, bribery and corruption exposure, and greenwashing risk, providing strategic guidance and practical support through investigations, responses, and remediation.

  • Inquiries & Investigations

    I act in and advise on Royal Commissions, commissions of inquiry, regulatory investigations, and workplace investigations.
    This work has included the Australian Banking Royal Commission, Special Commission of Inquiry into LGBTIQ hate crimes. investigations on bribery and corruption, modern slavery, coronial inquests and other regulatory compliance inquiries.

  • ESG & Human Rights

    I advise on the full suite of ESG and human rights matters. This includes matters before the Human Rights Commission, Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC), the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), OECD Guidelines, modern slavery compliance, and greenwashing litigation risk.
    I have previously led an international law firm's FPIC practice and built its ESG due diligence offering.
    I am a member of the NSW Law Society's Human Rights Committee.

  • Public & Administrative Law

    I act and advise on judicial review, public law advice to listed companies and public bodies, and constitutional law issues, including matters engaging the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This practice is underpinned by a PhD examining how executive decision-makers can be held to account under modern human rights charters, and by several years teaching constitutional and public law at university level.
    I have acted in judicial reviews in first instance and on appeal.
